A native of Charleston, SC, Demetrial has been involved in the finance and real estate fields for 10 years. She is a graduate of Johnson C. Smith University (B.S. '96) and Meredith College (MBA '00).  She is truly a student of real estate. 

This career is not something she stumbled on by accident, but rather it is a true passion that was revealed to her through prayer.  Therefore, as passions go, she works hard to keep abreast of the market and trends affecting those that she serves.

A Dwelling Place Realty has been a lifelong dream and for its existence, she gives God all of the glory.

ROCHELLE HICKLIN

A native of the beautiful state of Kentucky, Rochelle is a 1994 graduate of Clark Atlanta University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. After a brief and successful career as an educator, she decided that her creative energy could not be confined to a classroom setting. She sought divine wisdom and was subsequently led to New York City where she was hired as an advertising executive by Allied Graphic Arts. She was fortunate to have been able to work with some of the world’s top fashion models and has developed her skills in budgeting, event planning, and marketing.

After a three year stint with AGA, Rochelle was given an opportunity to travel the world when she was hired in 1998 by American Airlines as a flight attendant. Rochelle’s career as a flight attendant has helped to develop her customer service skills which she hopes will meet the needs of her clients.

Rochelle received her license from The Real Estate School of South Carolina. She hopes that her enthusiasm, passion, and zeal for the business of real estate translate into a rewarding experience for her future homeowners.

HELEN BARNES

A native of Roosevelt, Long Island, New York, Helen has always wanted to be in a position to help people. A life-long learner, she holds a bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a masters degree from Nova Southeastern University.  After being a resident of Charlotte, NC for 18 years, Helen purchased a home in Ft. Mill, SC, 4 years ago and has an expansive knowledge of the area. She worked 5 years in the banking industry and 10 years as a director for a non-profit child development center.

Helen believes that the more knowledge that clients have when, preparing for the purchase or sale of, and the actual purchase or sale of the home, will allow them to feel confident. Whether you are buying or selling your home, you can rest assure that you will be given all the necessary time and attention to make it happen. Helen hopes years later, clients will still be pleased with the entire home buying or selling process she has given to them.

TED ABBOTT

A native of Westminster, South Carolina, Ted has over 25 years experience in banking and has held his real estate license for over 20 years as well.   He is a graduate of the South Carolina Banker’s School at the University of South Carolina.  He is continually committed to enhancing his career and sharing his experience with others.

Ted has always had a personal interest in real estate and continues to find it exciting and rewarding.  Following new trends from decorating to architecture to new development, he enjoys staying abreast of all aspects in real estate.  “Finding the perfect home for my clients brings me a great sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction.  I love the excitement when my clients sell their homes too! For me real estate is not a just a career, it is also a passion. Plus, I get the added pleasure of making great new friends along the way.” says Ted.
